Ted was one ...Penny, that is a wonderful article...<br />Ted was one of my heros and inspirations...<br />the article summed him up perfectly...<br />it only missed one thing.<br />His field delivery... when out for a walk with Ted, he would slide seamlessly from a bird species and its habits to willows and their hybrids...and then to tiny snails, fungi, flowering plants, bryophytes... and back to birds...<br />just a steady outpouring of his encyclopedic knowledge.<br />Your Dad, I would hazard, must have known him well!Timhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16439261142732764451noreply@blogger.com
