Harlequin Duck would have been a first for Norfolk and would have got birders and twitchers flocking in droves to Snettisham. Mind you, Mandarin duck is STILL a fabulous duck to see, so thanks very much for your correspondence. Sorry for jumping to the wrong conclusion - hope this isn't too much of a let-down! I looked it up online to check I was right in my guess, and found it easily - but as far as I can tell from a quick google, it's mainly found in America and a rare visitor to our shores.
