but things are said to hap...You have my sympathy...
but things are said to happen in threes...
so hope all goes well from now on.

You wrote above...
"with his monstrous new 600mm lens (made my camera look like a kid's toy!)"...
We saw a couple of Dutch guys in the Brenne a couple of years back with the 1200mm lenses on Manfrottos with gimbal mounts...
now those lenses made their Canons look like toys....
I don't think I've ever seen anything quite so large being used on the go...
but being big Dutch guys, they made carrying them look a doddle.
As for birds...
we await the Cranes in their migration South...
they are beginning to build up in Germany and Northern France...
Here on our nature reserve we are currently surrounded by migrating warblers...
the main ones being Willow-Chiffs...
flycatching off the bedroom window...
or ignoring us gawping at them and hopping allong the windowsill looking for tasty insects.
Herself has just posted about them on "Aigronne Valley Wildlife"...
scheduled for tomorrow morning [7AM KLT*]
The others are Garden, Blackcaps, Whitethroats, Melodious, etc....
we also had a Firecrest in the cherry tree outside the bedroom window...
didn't need a 'scope for that one!!

[*KLT=Kings Lynn Time... my photographer brother lives in Castle Acre... so we are always aware of KLT]Timhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16439261142732764451noreply@blogger.com
