I've been doing much the same here....mainly for the Water Voles...but also to improve our view as we stroll around...<br />the vegetation has now become so lush in those spots... I might have to do it again!!<br />BUT... and it is a big but... we now have six species of Orchid growing here....<br />and one solitary Snakeshead Fritillary.<br />We've Hedge Sparrows around and which we've never seen....but the rather bright hybrids turn up and are given very short shrift by the resident Housies!!<br />But nine spoonbills... nice... my only UK sighting was four on a bitterly cold day... sitting in a coastal pub in the Wirral...pint in hand and, above all, WARM!<br />Look forward to reading about you holiday birding!!<br />TimLe Pré de la Forgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02396822372095610004noreply@blogger.com
