    What is wrong with humans?
    Closer to home, I was watching some (58)Sandwich Terns today on Kinshaldy beach in Fife, and I was thinking that was a 'good count'.
    As a matter of interest I looked up my old notes, and in the same week in 1980 I had c1500 Sandwich Terns in the same area.
    They don't breed up here any more in Fife, and other Terns are hanging on.
    All this since a nice 'Coastal Path' was built.
    Great for walkers, not so good for breeding shorebirds.
    Sorry to depress you, but things are going down fast on this island too!!
    HELP!!
