Spoonbill & Little Egret Extravaganza at Titchwell!

TITCHWELL RSPB
Rained heavily all morning whilst I was at work. Left work at 2pm to begin my holiday. Nothing amazing on the pager sadly this afternoon, so decided to stay local and save my energy for Saturday. That is until James MacCallum found one good bird at Blakeney Point, late pm – a Western Bonelli's Warbler!!! Congratulations James!

Only raining lightly by the time I got to Titchwell. 12 Spoonbills, Peregrine and Hobby over fresh marsh, 2 Bearded Tits, lots of Pied Wagtails, Snipe, Avocets, Ringed Plovers, lots of gulls, Black-tailed Godwits, a colour-ringed Greenshank! Arctic Skua east (sea), 1 Common Tern, 2 Sandwich Terns, 8 Curlew Sandpipers, Ruff, Redshanks, 40 Little Egrets in roost on dead trees along with 4 Marsh Harriers and lots of cormorants.

Very tired, when I got home and fell asleep, only just woken up at 10.40pm! So short post!
