Storm Surge, Norfolk!!!

The Storm Surge Hits Norfolk tonight, but not to the extent as it did in 2013

Sadly, Cley and Salthouse NWT Reserves are submerged again and the A149 became a raging river between Blakeney and Sheringham.

Steve Gantlett who lives in Cley reported on Twitter "10.00pm The Cley flood is now onto the service road above the A149 in front of my house, so only inches below the 2013 flood level."

Holme Reserves seem to be Ok, looking at Robert Smith's photos of the tide tickling the sea defences this evening.

The tide spills onto Wells Quay, but the sea did not breach the town's defences.

Just found a webcam for Sheringham:

Waves breached sea defences at Walcott this evening:

The full extent of the damage will obviously not be known until daylight.
