Titchwell RSPB!

Heavy rain and wind all morning. Sun came out in the afternoon so ventured out of the house. Checked the house at Holme – For Sale board is now up. Lots of Spring bulbs coming up in the garden.

Headed to Titchwell RSPB. Just as I parked up I received shocking news from John F. via text message, Fair Isle Bird Observatory is on fire!!!

A very chilly, late walk on the reserve produced 14 Marsh Harriers, lots of Avocets, Teal, Wigeon, Pochard, Black-headed Gulls, Knot, Golden Plover, Redshanks, Greylag Geese and Brent Geese. The sand was gusting like a scene from the desert!
