A fabulous and exciting evening after work at Victoria Pier, Lerwick! One of the best night's I've had for ages. Lots of roads have been closed off for the next four days, so I decided to walk from my house, which gave me lots of much needed exercise this evening! The tall ships were truly magnificent! The entire event was brilliantly organised. "Fiddlers' Bid", who are a Shetland based instrumental group, known for playing contemporary arrangements of traditional Shetland fiddle tunes, were insanely good and everyone seemed to have a very, very jolly evening indeed! 🍹🍻 You simply couldn't keep still whilst they were playing, totally infectious!
Live bands, beer tent, food venues, temporary beach on the quayside with traditional deckchairs, funfair, craft, gift and food produce stalls/marquees etc and I haven't even seen the daytime events yet, roll on Friday!
