Yes, it is hard, boring work.... but better to be behind and do the job properly... it is only you who will spot any imperfections caused by shortcuts.... but they will catch your eye all the time! But, the filling and sanding is the most important.... because you won't have to redo that in your lifetime [with the exception of dints and scrapes!]
