I've just noticed that Banksy has added a fake ice cream cone and tongue to the statue of Frederick Savage, the mayor of King's Lynn between 1889 and 1890, which stands on Guanock Place! OMG!!!

I just went to have a look and sadly, the ice-cream has disappeared, I REALLY hope the council didn't remove this, BIG MISTAKE! Even, if it had been left for a little while, it would have put a smile on people's faces!

"Jade Hampson, of C&L newsagents, told the Lynn News that Banksy visited and left his mark on August 4th. But the ice cream cone and tongue were later taken down by council workers after complaints from residents." Miserable lot!!! Trust King's Lynn to cock up!!! Can you make another one please Banksy?

Maybe you could create something on the walls of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, to highlight our hospital is being propped up by supports please? That would be so cool! This may help us to get a new hospital a little quicker! Tip – go to the back of the hospital, lower wall behind ornamental bushes to right of 'Sandringham' 😉 😁 !!! Looking forward to seeing your next creation!

“Perhaps, all that ice cream did melt,
Coz, This Wonderful Council soon dealt
With these wicked additions –
Crass, wet politicians !
Not long had these objects there dwelt !

In K.L., Our Bansky’ s unsung:
They took soon away all his Tongue !
Wot of were they scared ?
Wuz it coz it’s bared ?
Deep PINK  from between his lips hung.

They’ve gone: both his Tongue & his Cone !
They’ve left Mr Savage alone !
They’ve hidden his glossal –
A mistake colossal !
Now, where his dessert has been thrown ?

Some residents moaned – they won’t mourn it !

Apparently, they did complain:
We searched for their humour . . . in vain !
‘A mis’rable lot !’
Aesthetic ? They’re not !
They must law & order maintain !

Did they not think these things were an asset ?
How could they this great chance just pass it ? !
Folks’d come, & they’d gawk –
Much dosh, out they’d fork –
To see ’em, would be such a facet !

&, so, away went the ice cream;
&, with it, Our Banksy’ s cool dream;
&, the conical wafer.
King’s Lynn’s so much safer !
There, He’s so not held in esteem.”
