Rare Bird Alert News
Snow Buntings x 2 at Dale of Walls. Waxwings x 5 in Lerwick. Iceland Gull at Gutcher, Yell. Glaucous Gull at Loch of Spiggie.
Near Sandsayre Pier, Sandwick
Went for a walk this afternoon around Sandsayre Pier, where I saw lots of Starlings, House Sparrows, 1 Blackbird, Turnstones, Redshanks, Curlews, Rock Pipits, Grey Heron and 2 Hooded Crows. At Noness I watched 4 Ringed Plovers sheltering by a rock on the beach, Turnstones, Oystercatchers and Starlings going to roost.
Spent the rest of the day writing Christmas cards out and wrapping presents for my sisters.
