I was at work today, but checked out a few local spots for migrants this evening. Visited the Peerie Oversund Park in Lerwick, where an Icterine Warbler had been singing earlier today, no sign when I visited for the first time, but what a fabulous little spot – it even has a mini reed bed, which I didn't expect at all! Went to the Burn of Sound and found nothing at all, but did bump into a work colleague from the Independent Living Centre, who I didn't know lived here, so that was a nice surprise. Feeling very tired, I returned to Scalloway, but checked out the large sunken garden before I returned home and nothing there either. No energy to do any more birding. Chilled night at home – I fell asleep!
