We had a three hour powercut here, which was most of Shetland I believe from 3am to around 6am. Went to Planticrub again and did a Tesco run and then went birding around Lerwick, but only found a Robin of note. The two drake Mandarins are still at Loch of Asta, but sadly don't make it onto the rare bird news. Very dull afternoon – we certainly don't have a heatwave here! Back to work tomorrow.
