Opticians in the morning, plus various jobs. Rod from Shetland Fireplaces brought my stove door back with all the ropes replaced and then set about removing the fire bricks to try and rectify the fact that the door wouldn't close snugly – now it does! Excellent job and its now saving me money, as the logs are burning slower, now there are no gaps around the door – excellent! So lovely to have the fire lit again this evening.
A few weeks ago I applied for a grant to get my house insulated, which involved an initial questionnaire and then the next stage was supplying lots of evidence – I had a reply on the 28th February to say that because of my 'fuel poverty' my 'application has been approved'. But, there is a very long waiting list, that's fine, don't mind how long I wait, just overjoyed to be on the list!
