Girly Day Out At The Cambridge Botanic Gardens!

Penny, Keri, Hilary and Annie

Cambridge University Botanic Garden

Had a fabulous girly day with some of the lovely girls from work: Keri, Hilary and Annie, at the Botanic Gardens in Cambridge. The weather was a little too hot though! Lovely lunch, drinks, ice-creams etc! Lots of dragonflies whizzing around, but didn't see any Painted Ladies today. A tame young Magpie was having a bath in one of the central fountain pools later on in the day. A stunningly beautiful, exotic and tranquil place – I love it here.

Looks like there has a been a large fall of Pied Flycatchers on the coast today and that's without all the ones that haven't been reported! Need to get out in the field early tomorrow, before the heat kicks in! I have to work on Bank Holiday Monday, so tomorrow is my only chance to go birding this weekend. Good night!
