I have just replaced the old advert in right column on my blog, but I have no idea why it doesn't look in focus, so if anyone does, please let me know? Probably to do with what Blogger allows, which can be very frustrating!

I purchased this along with a black one and kept the black one (unusual for me to wear black 😉), never been worn.
Wicker Cat Basket now SOLD!

Beautiful Pine Dresser and bookcase purchased at the same time from a high quality furniture shop, approximately 28 years ago when everything was made properly! The top section of dresser is separate and simply sits on top and both sections are VERY heavy. Brass handles to all draws and cupboards. The width of the dresser is 60" (5ft), 34.5" high, depth 18". The top section is 60" wide, 41.5" high and depth 9.5". Together, as you see in the picture: the height is 175.5". The Pine bookcase is 25" wide, 41.5" high and depth is 8.5". Will require two very strong people to carry out and sorry, but this won't include me! I advertised this at a much higher price, but now reduced for quick sale.
NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINES x 60
AND
A heavy box of various Wildlife Magazines as below. It would be nice for a youngster to have these, but as long as they go, I don't mind who has them! I have been trying to sell these on Facebook for £20, but to my readers they are FREE!

I'm trying to stay calm, but that's the last thing I feel. I have SO much to sort through and the removal van arrives towards the end of the month! I feel like I'm sorting through a six bedroomed house, when its only a three bed house!!! I'm desperate to go out in the sunshine and listen to and see some birds, but I simply can't take the risk, with the clock ticking down to moving day.
Fed up with going to the tip and the charity shops and being forced into making quick decisions. I was very impressed with something I did today, I took my Pronuptia wedding dress, personally designed veil and flower tiara to the charity shop – I never thought I would do that, but when I unzipped the 'protective' bag, there were some yellow streaks down the front of the skirt area, so I wouldn't have been able to sell it anyway – maybe the marks will come out in a dry cleaners? Oh well, that's that bit of history gone! Plus, I would never have worn it again, not only was it a size 10, it was a full on Princess Diana style dress, not something I would wear now, plus I'm not planning on signing on the dotted line again anyway!
I spent a while choosing my half way accommodation this morning, when I drive up to Aberdeen, the place I stayed at last time in October 2021 was Bayswell Park Hotel in Dunbar and it cost me £62 for a sea view room and breakfast, it is now £124!!! So I didn't book there – I found a far cheaper place for £42 and this includes breakfast, bargain!
Spent ages doing the post redirection form on line today. Everything takes so long to do. I have four A4 sheets on both sides, of jobs to do and none of those involve packing!!! Then there is the utilities long list to sort, memberships to cancel and so on. Very pleased that TalkTalk (who I am with) operates in Lerwick, so I will simply carry on as I am now – but local people tell me that TalkTalk ONLY operates in Lerwick, it does not work anywhere else, so when I purchase a property, I will have to change my internet provider.
HAPPY EASTER BIRDING!

THANK YOU TO ALL MY LOVELY WORK COLLEAGUES, PAST AND PRESENT!
I then applied for a Therapy Assistant post – there were three TA posts being advertised in the rehab team and over ninety people had applied I was told later on! So after a scary 'round-robin' style interview, I very luckily got the job in the Stroke Team and have been in post just over 14 years (started 22nd December 2008). The team was very small in those days and some of the people I very first worked with, were Andrea, Nicola, Lesley, Hilary, Val, Caroline, Gemma, Anne-Marie and Tiffany and the only speech therapists were Jane and Sarah!
I have worked with some lovely staff on West Raynham Ward – so many lovely people, going back to the old days..... Anitha and Anish, Minnie, Caroline, Steve (who labelled us all "the Physioterrorists") and the list goes on! Debbie (straight and to the point, much like myself, has me roaring with laughter) and Kim, housekeepers, Justin, both Lauren's, Deanna B., Andrea (Mrs Christmas), Rachael, Jade, Tracey (thank you for my father's voice recording – always with me 😘) & Paulo, Paula, Paulina, Kim, Millie, Tracey's x 2, *Amanda (*won't forget you looking after father in Side Room 2 😘), Joanne, Dee, Jayne, Amy, Wendy, Trish, Elizabeth, Renata, Bev (space dust.. remember?! xmas party), Sarah P., Tania, Nicola, Joan, Carrie, Penny B., Daniel, Aneta, Janet, Alex, Beth, Sheila, Rose, Gaby, Amy, Fay, Sally, Jo Joy, Hailey, Esther, Claire, Keith and apologies if I have missed anyone out! To all the lovely SALT team, Annie, Jane, Ella, Emma and to past colleagues, Georgia, Sarah M. and Hayley. I also want to thank Frankie, who so kindly looked after my dear mother when she had an operation to 'mend' her femur (affected by secondary Cancer), which I never wrote on the blog at the time, as mother didn't want anyone to know. On that note, huge thanks to Cilla who bravely and compassionately arrived at our family home to bring flowers and card from my team after both my parents passed away.
I have worked with some wonderful, talented and amazing people in our Stroke Rehab Team – we have all gone so through so much personally and professionally together over the years, so much. An amazing team indeed and a credit to the service, along with the all the ward staff. Thank you to everyone I have worked with in my team, Suzy, Cilla, Hilary (the funniest person EVER), Gemma V., Ellie, Alison, Sara, Emily W., Sarah O., Rhiannon, Paula, Annie-Marie, Scott, John, Amelia, Gemma P., Danny, Sarah B., Emily S., Bev, 'Lovely' Linda, Cara, Amelia, Deana, Lily, Keri, to the fun banter with Simon and Jason, to all the many lovely Band 5's I have worked with on their rotations in the past, to staff who have left and have been very much missed, to all the lovely Stroke Association Team, who support our patients so much and to Deborah, Mandy and all the lovely Rehab admin staff in the offices.
Thank you also to all the amazing patients I have worked with over the years, its been so fulfilling to see your progression through our support, your families support and your own determination to carry on and live your best life, after what has been life changing diagnosis's – carry on and never give up! 😘
For anyone who is behind on the blog, here is the link to why I am leaving! I will miss you all very much indeed, its been a very emotional day. Thank you all so much for everything, your support, your friendship, your kindness, your knowledge, your banter, Christmas Parties and all!
Congratulations to Ellie and James on their birth of their little baby girl yesterday morning! 😘
Its only two hours flight to Shetland (Norwich–Aberdeen–Sumburgh) with "Loganair" OR train/drive to Aberdeen and 14 hour, exciting (seriously) ferry (Northlink) to Lerwick, Shetland if you ever fancy a 'wee' holiday! Or as they say in Shetland a 'perrie' holiday! See you all again hopefully!
Love Penny x x x 😘 🤗 💖 💐

DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANT
Doon Lough, County Leitrim, Ireland
Busy, busy, busy! Yesterday I went to Picturecraft in Holt, to collect a large amount of RAR paintings, that belonged to my father and got re-framed – they were in a very poor state and now all looking fabulous! They were very kindly all bubble wrapped up for me, ready to move, which was very helpful indeed! I left some more pictures of my own to get re-framed – will collect these just before I move!
I then headed to Salthouse for some bird and sea therapy! I can't remember the last time I went birding or saw the sea. It felt so good to be out and to one of my favourite places, "John's hill", I mean Gramborough Hill! I have missed being out on the coast so much! It was a bitter East wind, but felt fantastic, only birds of note were a male Stonechat and a Wren in the scrub on the hill. A few Meadow Pipits around, a Black-headed Gull in Summer plumage on the pool and some Rooks were feeding on the marsh.
Went to Walsey Hills NOA, which was looking gloriously beautiful with all the yellow gorse and blackthorn out. Very busy with birds here, including Greenfinches, Goldfinches, Chaffinches, Hedge Sparrows, Robins, Blue Tits, Great Tits, Long-tailed Tits, Blackbirds, Wood Pigeons, Cetti's Warbler calling, Little Grebe on Snipe's Marsh.
Today, I had to deliver tons of forms for my solicitors for the sale of my house and then after this, met up with Vivien and Lucy for lunch at Marriott's Warehouse, along the Quayside – the cost of eating out is seriously expensive now, our bill was huge! We choose here, as needed to sit outside somewhere, as poor Vivien is still very ill with a stinking cold and sore throat – her voice sounded awful! We had to meet up, as I might not see Vivien again for a long time, as she is going off on a trip with Ray for a few weeks – more on that story another time. It was weirdly very hot today, worrying that it was this hot in early April, not a good sign for the Summer, which is fine as I won't be here – far cooler in Shetland!
