Very stressful day, trying to sort untilities out for new house. My current house insurer won't insure my new property with the type of roof that it has, so spent AGES last night putting all the details into moneysupermarket.com and was over the moon to find someone. Phoned them up today, an hour on the phone, to find out that all my camera equipment, lens, binoculars, scope etc, which I listed individually as specified items, will only be covered for up to £2,000 in total when out and about in the car, that's no good at all! That isn't what it said on my quote. Exasperated with this! Don't know what to do now?!
Sorted the Internet, car insurance and breakdown, postal re-direction. Electricity could take a while. Emailed a few companies, took all day! Fed-up with it already and not even tickled the long list yet!

Congratulations on the house Penny! As for the optics insurance, himself says that you shouldn't bother now, you're on Shetland, not the back streets of King's Lynn. Or get another company to insure them if you must. Anyway, so pleased that you have got the house sorted, can't wait to see the pictures!
