First Butterfly, First Cuckoo!

Watched my first Brimstone butterfly this Spring, flying across the road in the village of Watlington, whilst on work duties! It was the warmest day of the year so far, a really beautiful day and I note via the RBA website, that the first Cuckoo in Norfolk was seen flying over the A148 at Alymerton early this morning. I have not had the joy of hearing the first Chiffchaff singing in the wood next the hospital yet, but then there isn't much left of the wood for birds to sing in! On that note, see here for those of you that don't remember my recent post – there has been no further work in the wood – all that remains now is a very large muddy area, surrounded by the trees left around the perimeter.
