18 degrees here today, felt much hotter than that though and not even a hint of wind. Lerwick was packed full of cruise ship tourists and many people were wearing shorts and t-shirts. Spent some pennies today on a taller step ladder from Frank Williamson, a cordless Stihl Strimmer from Shetland Power Tools, paving slabs from Huws Gray and after a Tesco shop, the boot was full. Phoned Ray up this morning (Vivien's partner) to sing Happy Birthday to him! Saw two Red Admirals in Scalloway and lots of House Sparrows on my bird feeders. Big birding day out tomorrow.
