EASTERN BONELLI'S WARBLER still in plantation at Skaw, Whalsay.
Beautiful sunny day here, but chilly (my perfect kind of day). After work I went birding at Clickimin Loch in Lerwick. Spent a good while searching for migrants and also at Helendale Terrace, but disappointingly didn't find a single bird, apart from the usual Starlings and Hooded Crows. Returned home to far more birds at my feeders, but nothing exciting.
Good morning Penny....
ReplyDeleteYesterday you mentioned there "might be 'that special bird' on your feeders and you wouldn't know"....
That me dear is easily solved,,,, get a trail camera that messages you and point it at the feeders.... or, possibly better for you, a set of four security cameras and their box [we can't have one here... the one metre thick walls are a barrier to the signal].... you could have two at the front of the house, one at the side and one at the back. They send you alerts via your home phone/ computer set up to your mobile without the need to purchase an extra sim card [all the trail cameras require a separate sim card]
