Today was a very busy day. Dropped my car off at Scalloway Garage to pay to change my four Winter tyres for two of last year's Summer Tyres and pay for two new Mitchelin All Weather Cross Climate II tyres at 8am this morning. The plan is to eventually move over to four All Weather tyres, but the Winter tyres are still almost like new, so need to keep changing them over in the Autumn until they wear out, plus they are the safest tyres to have for Winter here. Two of last year's Summer tyres were getting low on tread, so ditched these and the two new all weather tyres were put on the front of the car. I had to get these changed over before my forthcoming trip to Norfolk as the temperatures 'south' were considerably higher than 7 degrees!
Caught the bus to work and at the end of the day walked to the hairdressers in town for my hair appointment. My lovely hairdresser Aimee very kindly dropped me back in Scalloway after my appointment to save me waiting for the late and last bus. Picked the car up by the garage and drove home. With head torch on I took the Winter tyres out of the car and stored them in the shed ready for next Autumn. Phew!
