  1. Woohoo! Fame at last, congratulations! We're off to see it this morning, I had to dip out so far due to proposed hospitalisation which didn't happen after all...hope it's still there

  2. Well done Penny, great achievement! Sorry to hear about car problems ~ hope you get it sorted. I enjoy your website, blogs, pictures etc. I remember how you and your sisters used to sit in the Obs with Dad all those years ago ~ still got some of those pebbles with painted birds on them that you did! May 14th 1977 Thrush Nightingale ~ I was there (didn't see it of course, only you and dad did). Was there for Fan-tailed Warbler (or whatever they call it these days!!) though and lots of others....great days. Keep up the good work.

  3. Hi there (sorry you didn't leave your name!) Thanks for compliment on blog! This is so weird - I had forgotten about all those stones I painted and sold until someone today I met in unfortunate circumstances in the hospital (can't say any more than that for confidentiality reasons) also said today that they have one of my painted stones with a Great Grey Shrike on which of course is the emblem of the NOA!!!!! You mentioning this also today is weird!!!!!!!
