Cley NWT and Salthouse!

Everything took twice as long to do this morning with decreased use of right hand and with pulled muscle in back! Very little to report today really. Fabulous views of two Great Northern Divers from Coastguards at Cley with Andy J., Simon and Pete S. Also Red-throated Diver, 3 Common Scoters, 1 Goldeneye and a few Turnstones. A Wedding party arrived at the car park and posed on the shingle beach, which included lots of pretty ladies in short skirts/dresses and heels which also mean't the birds were neglected for a while from the male birders around me LOL!

I heard through the grapevine that a large whale had been seen off Cromer at 1pm today, but don't know if this correct or not – not reported through the news services.

News of a Black Guillemot at Salthouse an hour after it was seen at Salthouse, bleeped up on the pager. Went to Salthouse and saw nothing apart from a few Pied Wagtails. Returned to Coastguards after news came out again of the Black Guillemot drifting west from Arnold's Marsh. Joined John F., Kieran and Kayn for lots of interesting banter, which is not appropriate for publishing!!! Had a coffee and then went home.
