An incinerator for Norfolk - the case for and against - Environment - Eastern Daily Press

THIS MAKES ME VERY ANGRY!

Besides the obvious pollution and health risks, house prices will drop like a stone if this goes ahead! I better sell up now I think!

  1. well it all goes to show that all this recycling is a load of rubbish (sorry!) and that really we should all be looking to reduce our wastage at source and not be filling up our bins with un-recyclable stuff at all.... Stop buying stuff in packets and make food from scratch, that's what I do. Our recycle bin is hardly ever full and on the odd occasion that it is,it's usually paper or cardboard.

  2. We've had all this near where I live in Surrey Penny. We're going to get an incinerator, then we're not, then its back on again - it's been going on for years. It has already been proven that not only does it cost loads more to incinerate waste than bury it, it is far more harmful to the environment in terms of pollution. Hopefully, the residents of Norfolk will start campaigning against this sooner rather than later.
