My Hand Accident Still Ongoing!

Remember my hand accident I had, back in November? Well, at the time I thought I would lose either one or two of my nails, but luckily I didn't. The bruising under the nail didn't look too bad and seemed to move along with the nail as it was growing. But over the last week, the nail has cracked in half on the middle finger and is about to go on the ring finger. Its going to be a massive pain, trying to keep them both covered whilst they re-grow – I will have to be so careful, if I catch them and rip them off, its going to be agony! I won't post a picture as it looks much more hideous than when I had the accident:

  1. Try superglueing some clear acetate or similar to them (like off an empty pop bottle), cut to shape and it should do the trick. Eventually it'll grow off. Much better than ripping your broken nails next time you take your coat off!

  2. Penny... superglue!!
    My mother discovered that one...
she suffered very badly from brittle nails.
she'd put a bit of superglue on at the split..
use her "ladies tweezers" to open and close the split a couple of times.
Then wait 60seconds and wipe off excess carefully with a tissue... or more often some paper towel.
And finally she'd put a bit of sellotape across the fingernail and cut it to fit with her manicure scissors.
It used to work very well!!
