Hi Penny you don't know me personally but I have been reading your blog (which is very great) for many years and I have been a birdwatcher for 40 years.
ReplyDeleteFirstly can I say how brilliant you and all colleagues are in the NHS putting your lives on the line in the face of this terrible virus.
The reason I am commenting on your post is you are on the front line in the NHS But also a keen birdwatcher and nature photographer.
My suggestion to british birdwatchers and twitchers alike would be don't go in your masses to see birds all in close proximity but get up early do your local patch on your own (if you can) as long as we are allowed to, we might find out how our local bird breeding populations are fairing.
I like everyone else will find not going to reserves and bird hotspots really difficult and not getting my bird fix of seeing certain birds this year.
But you Penny more than anyone in the Birding Fraternity will know the effects this virus could have on any of us, so all birders stay safe and show common sense.
Thanks for your time
Regards D Benton
