First Swallow, House Martin and Sand Martin seen here today (not by me). I returned straight home this evening and filled up my empty bird feeders and cleaned the bird baths out. Very cold here and I made the mistake of not lighting the fire this evening, very different weather to 'south' today!

Since my post on 11th February there have been no changes with the severe burning sensation on my scalp, but I noted it was considerably better when I was in Norfolk and had started to feel almost normal again by the end of the week. Since returning home to Shetland it has instantly returned after washing my hair and seems to be even worse. I washed my hair yesterday and today it feels like it hasn't been washed for weeks. My GP has referred me to a dermatologist, but no idea how long that will take. I'm currently using totally organic tea tree shampoo and conditioner. Its now logical that its something in the water causing my issues. Its very difficult to live with, but don't have much choice about it. I suppose I could start having showers (for staff use) at the hospital and it may have to come to that, but its insane that I simply can't wash my hair in my own house!
