Lots of Redwings and Blackbirds on Gallow Hill before I headed off to work this morning. Almost dark when I left off work at 4.30pm, but still just light enough to see my first Siberian Rubythroat in Lerwick if one turns up! Or better still, wait until Friday along with the Nutcracker please! Very strong winds with 70 mph+ gusts here tomorrow and with the high 'Spring Tide' possibility of more coastal flooding.
I've just remembered, forgot to update you all. Cauldron Foods investigated the piece of grit that I lost a tooth over and admitted after analysis that it was a 'small stone' and agreed to pay the cost of my dental bill, which they have paid so a fairly good result. Long story short – I tried to claim for more due to stress and loss of tooth etc etc, but they were not going to budge with increasing their offer.
