Garganey reported at Loch of Spiggie.
Red-backed Shrike male still at Pool of Virkie.
Quail at Swinister Burn, Hoswick. Nightjar briefly in garden at Veestehill, Sandwick.
Quail singing north of road at Boddam.
Quail at Bakkasetter.
Marsh Warbler in bushes below North Vale, at Tresta junction, Red-backed Shrike male at Northdale, Fetlar.
Pomarine Skuas x 2 at Out Skerries.
Another rainy day, usual birds in the garden. Nothing exciting to report as I have been putting bookcases together all day. These bookcases are very, very time consuming to put together, involving little wooden pegs, glue, measuring and marking up, knocking in tons of pin nails to the back boards, screws, plastic fittings etc etc! All insanely boring to do, but the achievement of putting these altogether myself will be very satisfying when I've finished. 😊 Back to work tomorrow.
