Rare Bird Alert News
Marsh Warbler singing at North Hamarsland, Tingwall.
Thunderstorm this morning, which seems to be unusual here. Still lots of House Sparrows feeding in the garden. Spent all day emptying book boxes and trying to make some kind of order on the bookshelves, all looking good. Almost finished. I might just about have room to put the NOA reports on the last empty shelf, if not they will be going in the office/studio. Nice to get all my father's Fair Isle reports out, which I think were given to him by Richard (RAR) who visited Fair Isle many times – I have the first report and all the early editions. My father also had several very early editions of the Countryman with illustrations in by RAR, which I've never had a chance to look at fully yet.
The
car is full of 24 boxes to take to the tip, either before I start work or
afterwards. The dining room (where I have been storing everything that
wasn't unpacked) is looking alot clearer now thank goodness.
