Washing machine now working properly with new element, new door seal and a valve. My electrician Lewis came round this morning at my request, as I realised late last night that we needn't have swopped electric switches around after all. Wayfair stated that these bookcases with 37cm depth, they are more like 33cm, so without boring you with a very long story, they are now back to how they were!

 

Nipped to Lerwick DIY to buy some new brackets and Gorilla tape in preparation for when Alex (my builder) comes out tomorrow to fix the bookcases to the wall and join them together. Felt completely exhausted today and apart from filling up the bird feeders and watering some plants I didn't do anything else until this evening. I started to put wood filler into the huge gaps between skirting board and wall as this must be where all the Woodlice are sneaking in, this is something I've been meaning to do for a while. Run out of wood filler, so will go and get some more tomorrow.
