On the fourth day of its mini break the White-tailed Eagle retraced its steps back west along the Norfolk coast and nipped back over to Lincolnshire again in an unbelievable 10 minutes!!!
• Warham Greens at 9.15am
• Holkham at 10.52am and 11.15am
• Burnham Over Staithe at 11.28am
• Burnham Market at 11.32am
• Titchwell RSPB at 1.30pm
• Brancaster at 2.15pm
• Thornham at 2.31pm
• Chosely Barns at 2.40pm
• Holme - flew NW out to sea and landed south of Skegness at 2.50pm.
Other birds seen today in Norfolk today courtesy of RBA include 22 Yellow Wagtails at Titchwell, Hooded Crow at Trimmingham, Grasshopper Warbler at Snettisham Coastal Park, 2 White Storks at Hickling and a BLACK STORK somewhere East Norfolk, Sea Palling? See Picture on Surfbirds: and the caption reads: "Black Stork, Norfolk, Location withheld Apr 6th 2011 © Andy Kane" - now I don't quite understand why this is being suppressed, maybe we'll find out why, maybe we won't!
My parents told me they saw a Black Stork 'when I was too little to remember' so looking forward to seeing my first one in Norfolk!
See here for Black Stork discussions!
