The only birding I managed to get in was after I had posted my sister's birthday card after work at about 5.20pm. Went to West Hall and horse paddocks near Tesco and saw around 20+ Redwings with 5 Continental Blackbirds. No sign of the Ring Ouzel that Andy J. had there earlier. Today would have been such a fabulous day to go birding as it was east and sunny all day with very little wind. The Kingfisher was not seen by anyone today. Tomorrow and the next day are 55mph easterly winds and heavy rain! I have my last two days booked off for Autumn birding on Monday and Tuesday, so now have five days off! Sunday looks like the first good day to find birds after the gales!
