Note to self: DO NOT decorate in midge season! I didn't notice the midges last year at all, maybe its because I'm in Scalloway with lots of trees or maybe they are just worse this year. There are lots of midges stuck into my Satinwood window frame paint. I'm bitten to pieces and can't stop scratching my arms. I have just sent off for some "Avon Skin So Soft Original Dry Oil Spray" which is brilliant for keeping midges away, but doesn't work for my paintwork!
