  1. Hi Penny. My thoughts are with you at this most difficult time. my mum passed away earlier this year and i still find myself thinking of a bit of news that i could pass on to her to liven up her day only to realize i can't. I met your father many years ago. We were wild camping in a field near to Holme church having camped up near cley for the past two weeks. We had heard there was a white rumped sandpiper at Holme and decided to stop off and see it.My brother and i were very short on money and really only had enough money to pay for one reserve but Peter admonished us for the rarity hunters we were and cajoled us into paying for permits for both reserves. the day sticks in my mind because when we woke up in our tent it was raining ,first time in our two weeks camping and also the news on our radio informed us that Elvis had died. One of those occasions you always remember where you were when.I'm sure you know but your father was a wonderful man that lived his life to the full a true character once met never forgotten. Sure that the pain you're feeling now will pass with the warmth of feeling from all the people your father met a comfort in this sad time.P.S we did get to see the White rumped sandpiper.Regards Ade.xx
